TimoCue Terms of Use

1. Scope and provider
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set out the conditions for using TimoCue between SORYUKEN, K.K., the operator of TimoCue (the “Operator”), and the user. Please review these Terms before you begin using the app. If you agree, select “Agree to the Terms and get started” in the app. The applicable Apple Standard EULA and other applicable conditions also govern the license to use the app distributed through the App Store. These Terms explain the service conditions specific to TimoCue; they do not exclude Apple's usage rules or rights protected by applicable law.
2. Features provided
TimoCue provides web browsing, capture of time expressions from web pages, manual time setting, and timer start, pause, resume, and end alarms. Check the captured time before registering and starting a timer. Successful capture is not guaranteed for every website or time expression. If capture is unsuccessful, you can set the time manually.
3. Search and third-party services
When you perform a search, your search query is sent to the selected search engine, and that service's search results page is displayed. Google is the default; you can change the engine in the app's settings. This setting is separate from Safari's search setting. Third-party services, including search services, advertisements, and linked websites, are subject to their respective providers' terms and privacy policies. The Operator does not create or manage third-party services and does not guarantee, as a TimoCue feature, their content, search ranking, accuracy, completeness, currency, lawfulness, safety, usefulness, or continued availability. Use these services in compliance with their terms and the laws applicable to you.
4. Third-party content and TimoCue's responsibility
Problems with content provided by third parties, such as search results, advertisements, and text or images on linked sites, are distinct from defects in TimoCue's own features. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not liable for damage arising from the content of third-party services itself. This section does not provide a blanket exemption from responsibility for defects arising from TimoCue's own display processing, time capture or analysis, timer processing, or other app functions. Liabilities and consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of the relevant country or region remain protected.
5. Using alarms
End alarms use iOS permissions and operating system features. Operating conditions vary depending on permissions and device and OS settings. If permission has not been granted, or if a start cannot be confirmed, follow the guidance in the app. Do not repeatedly send a start operation that has not been confirmed. The remaining time displayed in the app reaching zero is separate from the OS alarm actually firing.
6. Handling information
Personal information, on-device data, transmission to search services, and information subject to deletion are explained in the separate TimoCue Privacy Policy. Viewing the Privacy Policy does not constitute agreement to these Terms.
7. Prohibited conduct
You must not infringe third-party rights, compromise the security of services or devices, bypass website access restrictions or protective measures, or use this app or third-party services for unlawful or improper purposes.
7.1. Intellectual property
Rights in the App, text, images, music, software, and other materials belong to the Operator or the relevant rights holder. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute them without permission beyond what these Terms expressly allow.
8. Changes and ending use
Material changes to features or these Terms will be announced in the app, on a public website, or through similar means. You may stop using the app. Displaying these Terms or declining to agree to them does not automatically stop, cancel, or delete existing timers or OS alarms.
9. Applicable law and rights
These Terms do not limit protections under mandatory laws applicable to you. If a provision is invalid under applicable law, this does not remove your statutory rights. We do not state that the law of one particular country takes precedence for all users.
